Alan Hopkins, MD

Dr. Hopkins earned his Doctor of Medicine at Loma Linda University Medical Center in 1996. He has been a physician in Austin since 1999, serving as a Clinical Professor at University Medical Center at Brackenridge Hospital and Dell Children’s Hospital. He has taught and instructed physicians internationally and has volunteered in overseas hospitals and clinics. Dr. Hopkins was recently honored with a 2012 Top Doctor Award by Austin Monthly.

A graduate of Colorado College in Colorado Springs, Meg received her graduate degree from Philadelphia University and is a certified Physician Assistant as well as a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Central Texas Physician Assistants Society.
She has been a PA for five years and has worked in the medical field for more than 10 years in both clinical and hospital settings. She is an impassioned advocate of functional medicine, which addresses a person’s complete health instead of just an isolated set of symptoms and a disease. She believes the right foods and a healthy lifestyle can transform a person’s health and is a core part of integrative, whole-body treatment. Meg is a staunch believer in measurable results and is excited to offer patients biomarker-based blood screening throughout treatment.

Robin graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s of science degree in Nutrition. She earned her RN four years ago and gained experience working in the emergency room at St. David’s Medical Center.

Lauren has a strong medical background and has worked in both clinical and hospital settings. She holds a B.S. in Nursing from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. Lauren has extensive experience in urology and cared for patients at St. David’s South Austin Medical Center as a medical/surgical nurse.
With a keen interest in health and nutrition, Lauren is passionate about preventive medicine and the benefits of a nutrient-rich, wholesome diet. She feels that many of the illnesses she treated in patients could have been prevented with proper lifestyle choices and nutrition education.

Haley holds a medical assistant certificate and has helped care for patients at Victory Allergy Clinic and Austin Dermatology Clinic.

Shayla hails from the Everest Institute where she earned her medical assistant-phlebotomy credential. She has worked in health care for eight years, including as a volunteer at a hospice, caring for patients in home health and as a triage runner in an Emergency Room.
